I still love the way your stories make me feel like I'm right there with you in the moment. I think you said it best your's is the only blog I still follow with any frequency. Social Media seems to have basically made this medium obsolete. Living life at 140 characters never did sit well with me. I enjoy a good rant or story now and again. Sometimes they'd bounce off or fall off, one reclose, and everything's fine (lots of those you never find unless one of the callers happened to have seen the flash).

But I have many questions related to this, If anyone knows everything about it, so please give me the answer to few questions as I have given here
Angel charlshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05004327337415679833noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7451103769417370892.post-89735948923655896652021-04-01T01:27:40.533-05:002021-04-01T01:27:40.533-05:00Still here Grumpy, Glad to have you back! Our local utility forced us to make the pads HUGE so they could "hot stick" them if need be. It's good to see that the clearance dims they gave us are standard.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18356354119454171849noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7451103769417370892.post-21608602952636267532017-01-23T18:05:58.922-06:002017-01-23T18:05:58.922-06:00Still Here Grumpy. Cops don't care either way because we just stand clear of those zappy things. LOL. Electrical=bad. So....
But I can report that due to the Y2K scares, a couple dozen local residents came to meetings about "what do we do IF--?" & began learning about being proactive - i.e., preppers. So it did some good, tho not in the expected way perhaps. (Among other things, in investigating just how well prepared our community was, we discovered our radio stations didn't have a backup generator! not even one of them did!)
We also discovered that one of the differences between [most] Men and [most] Women, is: the Men will (usually) wait until the problem arrives and bonks them over the head; THEN they will deal with it -- whereas the Women will usually try to see the problem approaching and head it off before it bonks anyone. Thus the source of many a cohabitational argument.
A side note: on the 99th day of the year (which as I recall was in April 2000), there was a small computer glitch. Credit cards could not be processed by machine; they had to be called in by a human talking on a phone & the card's numbers spoken aloud. I dunno if that was local, regional or what.
Wonder Galhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17035116087138921916noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7451103769417370892.post-22454609970184419012014-03-07T08:06:34.129-06:002014-03-07T08:06:34.129-06:00You would think something like that would be hard ...You would think something like that would be hard to miss, even at night.Easily Losthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09927848478898228492noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7451103769417370892.post-67628409155504756332014-01-25T05:56:20.580-06:002014-01-25T05:56:20.580-06:00Maps yes.
